Of course, this movie had a lot of hype, and what the film can live up to all this .... blah blah blah. Even considering that this film is a bit 'of disappointment. This film proves that it was not the only special effects that have made Star Wars fun to watch. It was as if George Lucas was so happy with what I could do with CGI effects, he forgot what made the original trilogy so great, and the writing and the characters. Not a bad movie, but the problem is many.-Many people dismissed this film is lackluster because they say that this is just the first of a trilogy and this is just to set everything to follow. Bad bad bad, this film was to be his first film as the other three movies were. This should be good characters and some interesting history .... This didnt.-in the history of the conflict revolves around a dispute over the fate of the planet Naboo. It was really no one cares about that? Subject details are vague, and did not find a real generate enough interest for us to eradicate a certain way. It 'important conflict of Darth Sideous and its growth is kept far, far away in the background. We do not even know why Darth Maul Jedi hate so much .... it just works. Maybe Luca wanted Darth Maul to be a bit 'as Boba Fett (silent and mysterious.) Has worked with Boba Fett, because he was only supporting character rather than the main villain. This film does not really have a clear villain. I wish someone had the courage and Lucas just said that the main story was lousy.-No one seems particularly happy in this film. Qui-Gon is really the only character in the game, which can be related to, and even if it is far away. Queen operates within many of his fictional scenes (and looks like one). Obi-Wan Kenobi wanders in vain for the whole movie and never says anything interesting. The characters never seem to talk about something besides the plot (unlike the first film). C3PO and R2-D2 was useless. Jedi Council looks like a very cold and buracratic. And I never understood why they wrote AnnaKS as elementary school child in this film. When he was a teenager. His scenes with the queen was embarrassing. There was not even going to discuss the jar Jar.Various other things ...-midochlorians what seems to have been just tacked on. Humor falls flat, unless you are a very young child. AnnaKS trade destroys the ship at the end of each safves, basically a mistake! ILM and George Lucas seems to be very happy with their new toys CGI that they spent 95% of their time to improve them. Frankly I thought the FX return Jedi was sharper, more three-dimensional and less cartoony. None of this memorable, seems to happen here. This film could never be as good as the hype, but could easily be much better than this. I waited so long this movie, but the first time I saw this movie, I was really bored in the middle of it.There are good moments. Pod racing was fun, as it was a light saber battle at the end. There are some special effects very nicely. We hope that Lucas just had writer's block when he wrote this. Perhaps you will remember what he did the other films as well time Episode II. Although it seems a botched his title already.
