I remember fondly, Henry Fonda and Raymond Massey as Mr.Lincoln young Abe Lincoln and Lincoln in Illinois They give attractive presentations. But, here and now in this extraordinary Steven Spielberg / Tony Kushner version, the illusion is complete. I saw the President and never for a moment thought an actor. This in itself is close to unique. I left the theater with a feeling Ive just got out of body experience. The whole performance center - and I call it a show, because I do not know what else to call it - falling into a magical place. Photography, production design, wardrobe allowed to actually smell the period. Congratulations and thank you.
