Im not going to waste space with a synopsis, because every second or third review provides. A good indication of a challenging and original movie was number 1/10 and 10/10 review, in which the tenth review consisted of only a few lines. A pretty sure sign that people werent able or willing to look with an open mind. Which is a good sign for the casual viewer to give this film a wide berth.I want everyone I care about will see Requiem for a Dream. Not because they like it, or that it will teach them something they did not know before, but it's a rare piece of work that will challenge and possibly change it. Its a movie that has not been done before, with nothing to compare with it - a rarity these days. I often find myself recommending movies to people that I can not explain it briefly. This is usually the most interesting and affecting them. Id like my family to see this, but can not recommend ** to them. Ive recommended it to two friends and they both had the same reaction: I'm glad to see it, but I doubt III are in the mood to watch it again, knowing what I feel.As set to, watch the credits, I started to cry, but Im still not sure why. Partly in response to the tragic end of crushing, partly Beauty (ja) of the film, in part thanks to the good things in my life. I saw him again that night with my boyfriend, not because I want to upset her, but I felt I had to share. After the credits rolled, we were both quiet for ten minutes. I find that I think I would like to express, but can not find the words. This is one of the few films that are painful to experience, but I felt compelled to share it with the people I love. Others in the short list includes The Thin Red Line, Happiness, Rivers Edge, and The Deer movie Hunter.These all qualities that are difficult to name. No one likes to feel disturbed or destroyed by a film, a work of art, a piece of music, but I feel like having this feeling and asked to think, not just entertained, which is important now and then. The favorite does not apply to me - this is not about entertainment. One of the most devastating experiences and beautiful I've watched the movie. One of the five best films I've ever seen.
