Review:
When this movie first came out in 1980, I remember going to see the premier. Terror've experienced viewing Shining was enough to make me go to sleep every night the lights for a whole summer. This movie is just scared to death, which is what always happens every time you rent the video to watch it again. I saw The Shining for at least six or seven times, and I still believe that at one time, and, paradoxically, one of the most feared and Yet the funniest movies I've ever seen. Scary because of the extremely powerful long shots to create feelings of isolation, convex lens to improve Surrealism and meticulously composed music for the voltage levels practically unbearable. And funny, because Jack Nicholson is outrageous and in many cases, antique makeshift screen. It never ceases to amaze me that The Shining is actually two films a atat andthe comedy horror film. Such prominent threat haunted high in the first half of the film, which gradually develops the physical threats become more severe over time. Whatever the situation, there is surprisingly little violence since the apparent intensity, but that is little comfort for the feint of heart as a terrorist bigger role than obvious. The Shining is a really scary movie that works symbolically on many levels, but in fact the human weaknesses and how you can take advantage of the combined forces of the unconscious weakness of will. This movie still scares just use your own imagination turns against the proposal. The Shining is a brilliant film masterpiece, you have never seen before or since. Very highly recommended. - Paul
