As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster. - Henry Hill, Brooklyn, NY 1955.Gangsters are all around us. Everyone knows it, everyone wants to adopt. Goodfellas - based on real events - explores the lives of gangsters, to record events through the eyes of Henry Hill (Ray Liotta), who with the mafia at a young age to engage and continue his career in full , film.As he gets older, he got married and had children, but is still working on an organized crime family, Mafiabaas Paulie (Paul Sorvino), and he is friends with Jimmy (Robert De Niro), calm, steady gangster Tommy (Joe Pesci), savage with serious mental health problems. It is a tour de force of stunning images, witty script, a great and realistic negotiations violence.Robert De Niro gives one of his best performances - sometimes - as Jimmy, though not in the movie, as you may be lead to believe, front cover.Joe Pesci in this film about as much as De Niro, maybe a little more or less. But when the screen is no doubt that it is on the screen - it's very difficult to miss. In short, deranged, loud-mouthed man with something zlýmv head. Someone makes an insult to him and shoots, and then laugh. It's very upsetting. I'm a big fan of Pesci, and I tend to love their characters, but I really feel sick to his character in Goodfellas, while at the same time with a strange taste to it. It just shows how good an actor Pesci is.Ray Liotta is perfect as Henry Hill. I can not imagine a better actor to play him. It captures the feeling of innocence but also a sense of violence. I love the scene where a man goes to a house with a normal expression on his face. What do you want f & ^ * &? asked the man. Liotta still walk, pick up a gun and started getting beat a man in the skull with a pistol butt. As Henry returned to the car, his face is worrying and its expression remains with you for a long time.Martin Scorsese is a great director his work here is great, she is again different director (especially Paul Thomas Anderson in Boogie Nights) and there's a reason: great things. Totally deserves to get for best director in 1990, but apparently not. (It's called Scorseses Academy frowns on the use of racial slurs in his work hoo Oh darling, it goes ...) The film is based on a true crime memoirs real-life Henry Hill, whose novels n Nicholas Pileggi's Wiseguys - adapted to the scenario Pileggi and Scorsese. The book is fantastic and informative, the scenario is even better. Incredible.Anyway dialogue, Goodfellas as one of the best movies I have ever seen - true modern classic to remember what is: One of the biggest stories on the screen. His offer can not refuse!
