It was very disappointing.I adored the first film in pieces. I own the DVD and play it regularly at night movie with my friends. Fun unexpectedly great spectacle quotable, and visual. The characters are surprisingly entertaining, and Depp comes roaring in like a breath of fresh air as Capt. problem Jack.The the third movie (and second) is that they lost contact with the root them. The first film, while the heavy stuff supernatural was still very grounded in the real world with some accuracy. The characters were over the top, yes, but still reliable, and above all, relatable. Their motives and all predicaments make a great deal of sense (ie Elizabeth wish to marry Will, Barbossa want to be free of the curse, Jack just want to get a boat so he can live life of among his freedom). Unfortunately, in the new film, the writers have lost touch with the charm of the first film. Parcels are tricky so hard to decipher, much less remember the wishes of the characters and motives. A lot of its less emotionally based. It has become so thick on this earth fantasy supernatural is almost about botëne true at all.
